Mindy

I photographed Mindy and Damion last Sunday at their house in Apple Valley.  After a very full day of visitors and a baby shower, Mindy and Damion were very tired and were troopers when I dragged them all over their property.  I just couldn’t get enough of their place.  Lots of wide open spaces, and quietness.  Loved it!

You can see the slide show here.

The Dream Machine

Guess what I got to do on Friday?  I had so much fun that it seems I should pay the Sun Newspaper for sending me out on this assignment.   The assignment was to cover the opening of the Huck Finn Jubilee and every year they have a hot air balloon.  I’ve covered this once  before but was never offered the opportunity to go up.  My husband told me the night before that if they offer, GO!  It was so wonderful.  This first picture was when we were skimming along the water. Who knew you could do that?    I went up with James Quigg, a photographer with the Daily Press, Carol Stafford, a long time balloonist along with Dean Davey, the pilot.  We landed in a park a few miles away.  As we were landing, the wind picked up a little and we brushed across a small pine tree.  As I was hanging on, just a tinsy bit worried, James was snapping away like a true photographer!

The Dream Machine website is www.dreamballoons.com

Here’s a quick slide show.

Luis and Anosheh Part 2

As promised, a slide show.  There were still quite a few images that I couldn’t squish into the slide show.  It’s already 6+ minutes long and moving pretty fast.  So sit back and enjoy some great images along with a great song by Alexi Murdoch.

This image is Eric’s.  The moment I saw it, I loved it.  I wish I would of taken it so I could claim it as my very own but I didn’t.

I love this next image.  It has an old world feel to it.  The focus is right at the edge of the cloth, letting Anosheh fall ever so slightly out of focus.  Sometimes, having something out of focus conveys the mood much better than having everything crisp.  I love these happy accidents!

Luis & Anosheh Album

I’m going to be bad and only  post a few tasty morsels at a time.  The first is Luis and Anosheh’s album design.  I love that I can offer albums to my clients but it makes me sad that so many other great images won’t receive proper viewing time since they weren’t in the album.   I’ll be posting a slide show in a few days, so check back on Monday or Tuesday for the next installment of Luis & Anosheh’s day.  Eric photographed this wedding with me.  He’s the kind of photographer that can make silverware look interesting!  I’ve got to get him to show me how he did that.

David & Brenna in Monterey

It’s here!  David and Brenna’s Day After shoot in downtown Monterey.  We had a great time.  I had a lot of favorites.  You can see the slide show here.  *WARNING*  The song for the slide show might be slightly…maybe… just a tad bit naughty?  Maybe that’s a bit harsh.  It’s spirited!  If you have sensitive ears, please feel free to hit that mute button on your computer.
