Holiday Portraits November 8th

Hey, it’s that time of year again and I’ve decided to hold a  Holiday Portrait Party!  I’ve reserved Rockview Nature Park in Victorville and will be holding mini portrait sessions.  The sessions will be 20 minutes long and the best part is that I’ll give you a CD of your images!  If your interested, give me a call or send me an e-mail to reserve a time slot.  The date is November 8th and you’ll be able to pick up your CD by November 15th.  Oh, the fee is $75.

Kate & Harold

Before I begin, I would like to apologize in advanced to Harold, who was an English major in college.  I have the unique ability to mangle sentences, place punctuation in strange and unnecessary places and write the longest run on sentences known to man.  Reading any further may trigger an uncontrollable cringing reflex.

So, it seems like a lifetime since I last blogged.  I’ve been completely immersed in Kate and Harold’s wedding images.  Eric (my hubby)  and I photographed  this wedding together.  There were a lot of images between the both of us. We are both afflicted with SFS (Slutty Finger Syndrome).   Although Eric is the worst offender of the two of us.  I first noticed his “problem” when we  returned from our first vacation together umpteen years ago.  He had 30+ rolls of film to develop. Normal people have 2 or 3 rolls from a vacation.  I did point this out to him but there has been no behavior change in the last 12 years.  O.K so one would think,  “where’s the problem here?”.   Well, the problem  is that I’ve become attached to all of the images which makes it very difficult to narrow the images down to a manageable size.

The resulting slide show is just a smidgen of the images.  There were so many more that  I wanted to add but I couldn’t find a song long enough!  You can see the slide show here.

This first image just happens to be the very first image taken of the day.  Whenever I start a wedding, the “taking of the first image”  is usually shot from the hip or a quick snap, just to get it out of the way.  Something I do without much thought  to get over the inertia of  beginning.  It’s funny how many of those unconscious  first images turns up in my pile of favorite images from the day.   The first few minutes of talking to Kate I couldn’t see her face.  After I set my camera bag down and grabbed my camera, she turned around and smiled just as I snapped this image.  I love this image for her smile!

Albums, Albums, Albums

It’s time.  After two years of having the same package at the same price, I’ve decided to grow a bit and add an album to my package.  So now I’ve begin my journey into “Album World”.   Ooops!  You’ll have to click here to see the album design not the image.
